Memberhip is open to companies that own and/or manage properties within the multi-family housing industry.

Annual Dues:

Annual dues for Owner/Manager Members are based on a community's total number of units.

1-100 Units: $137 plus $1.15 per unit

101-200 Units: $275 plus $.80 per unit

201-300 Units: $426 plus $.75 per unit

301 Units & Above: $665 plus $.60 per unit

 

PLEASE NOTE: Contributions or gifts to the SCAA are not tax deductible as charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. However, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses subject to restrictions imposed by the state on association lobbying activities. SCAA estimates that the nondeductible portion of your 2018 dues – the portion which is allocated to lobbying is 21%.

As a member of this association, you become a member of the National Apartment Association. $28 of each member’s annual membership dues goes toward a one-year subscription to NAA’s Units magazine and is non-deductible from association dues payment. In accordance with the Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1993, 5% of your annual membership dues goes towards lobbying expenses, and is nondeductible for association dues payment. Your NAA dues are $30.00 plus $.47 per unit, therefore, 12.32% of that amount is not deductible.
